University fees for Irish students in the UK could triple according to a Fine Gael MEP.

Brian Hayes has said the welfare of Irish students studying abroad needs to be considered in the post-Brexit negotiations.

He has also warned that CAO points for medicine courses could rise as students decide to study here rather than travelling to Britain.
