The 32nd Dáil’s been suspended for the first time after heated exchanges.

TDs were objecting to the extension of the FEMPI legislation which allows the Government to continue to impose pay cuts on public service workers.

During rowdy scenes, AAA-PBP TDs Brid Smith and Mick Barry ripped up the document informing the Dáil that the legislation had been extended.
