A man has been arrested after a woman was threatened in her home with a knife recently.
Gardaí have arrested a man, aged 55, in connection with an investigation into an aggravated burglary that occurred at a house in Dardistown, Co Dublin last Friday at around 5pm.
A woman, the owner of the property, returned home to find that there was an man she didn’t know in her house.
He was in possession of a knife and threatened her with it. She fled from the house and got into her car.
The man again threatened the woman before leaving the scene in her car.
Gardaí investigating the incident arrested a man in the Ballybough area, Dublin last night shortly before 8.30pm.
He is being detained at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
