Console has taken control of a number of assets held by former CEO Paul Kelly, according to a spokesman for the charity.

The interim head of the suicide prevention society has said that it will now create a full inventory for presentation to the High Court on Tuesday.

On Friday, the court heard that lawyers had been unable to make contact with Mr Kelly and his wife.

Mr Kelly resigned from Console following revelations around alleged financial irregularities at the charity.

David Hall, who has been appointed as his interim replacement, said that the situation has changed over the weekend.

“The Kellys yesterday made contact in respect of handing over some assets and certain assets,” he said.

“That handover took place yesterday afternoon with one of their representatives, and we took charge of books, records, computers, VISA cards, and a whole host of other items.

“An inventory was taken by the company’s solicitors and an external security specialist, and we took the company cars away, and they are now in storage at an auction house.”
