Offaly 1-10 Dublin 2-15

Dublin deservedly secured their place in next month’s All Ireland U21 Hurling semi-final line up, overcoming Offaly to claim Leinster silverware in the process.

Offaly started well as Emmet Nolan earned a penalty that Oisín Kelly fired home after twelve minutes. Nolan also picked off a couple of excellent points from play to establish a 1-6 to 0-5 interval lead.

However a transformed Dublin side took just ninety seconds to eradicate that advantage and set themselves up with a strong foundation for victory.

Andrew Jamieson-Murphy posted the first of his four second half points from play, while Seán Treacy rattled the home net a little over a minute later.

The younger brother of Dublin senior hurler David Treacy struck again after forty minutes when he claimed a high ball and kicked it past Eoghan Cahill from eight metres to give Dublin their first lead of the game, and it was a lead that they never relinquished.
