The pupils in Cushinstown National School took part in a ‘flashmob’ dance routine last week

THE PUPILS in Cushinstown National School participated in a ‘flash-mob’ dance routine last week as part of their end-of-year activities.

The children gathered in the school yard on Wednesday afternoon and carried out a number of routines before a large crowd of interested parents, grandparents, guardians and relatives.

With the summer holidays beginning the next day the children were in great form and took to their routines with great enthusiasm.

They performed moves that were choreographed by well known local dance teacher, Anne Marie Cooney, and received a great response from those in attendance.

The members of the school’s victorious Rackard League U12 team were also presented with their medals from coach, and teacher, Michelle O’Leary, on the day.
