A hill walker has been rescued after being seriously injured in the McGillycuddy’s Reeks in Kerry.
The man in his 50s was injured in a fall while descending near an area known as Hag’s Glen yesterday during heavy rain and strong winds.
The Kerry Mountain Rescue team saved him by stretcher from the mountain, and he was then airlifted to Tralee General Hospital by the Coastguard.
The rescue team says it is the third serious incident on this challenging descent in as many months.
