This young lad from Portugal is breaking hearts around the internet this morning.

The little fan was in Paris to see his side overcome hosts France to win the European Championships – their first ever major tournament win.

But even in the midst of the celebrations, the boy remained aware of the feelings of others.

This clip shows him consoling a French fan devastated by the defeat. The young boy goes over to pat his arm in reassurance and offer a few words of comfort.

The French fan is clearly touched by the gesture and thanks him with a hug.
