Cork GAA coaching officer Kevin O’Donovan has created a document of 25 proposals to arrest the decline of hurling and football in the county, writes Eoghan Cormican.
In the 16-page document circulated to club delegates at the end of tonight’s County Board meeting unbeknownst to the top table, O’Donovan said there is little doubt that an urgent need for significant improvement at all levels in Cork GAA now prevails.
The establishment of a player development programme from minor upwards and a representative body for club players, the implementation of a regeneration project for hurling in Cork City and the appointment of a Director for football, hurling and a head of physical development are among the proposals formulated by O’Donovan.
