A man has been stabbed at a shopping centre in Kilkenny this afternoon.
A man aged in his late 50s was stabbed by a second male, aged in his late 30s, at the Market Cross Shopping Centre in Kilkenny at around 2.30pm today.
The injured man was taken to St Luke’s Hospital for treatment.
A man has been arrested and is being detained at Kilkenny Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardaí have no further details about the condition of the stabbing victim at the moment.
