Three men are due in court this morning in relation to burglaries in the midlands.

The three men aged 36, 38 and 39, have been charged in connection with an investigation into theft and related offences in counties Laois, Offaly, Tipperary, Carlow and Kilkenny.

The men were arrested yesterday morning in Cloncourse in Portlaoise, and were detained at Portlaoise and Tullamore garda stations.

The men are due to appear before Tullamore District Court this morning.
