Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run crash in Dublin which left a cyclist with serious leg injuries.
According to gardaí, the incident occurred on Strand Road, Baldoyle at around 12.45am last Saturday morning, July 9.
What was described as a black Volvo S.40 model, 07 D registration, came down the Strand Road in the direction of Main Street Baldoyle and struck the 26-year-old male who was cycling home from work.
The cyclist was knocked to the ground and has serious leg injuries.
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene.
This car travelled along Strand Road, Baldoyle onto Main Street turned left onto Moyne Road and again turned left into the Castlemoyne Estate.
The car was then abandoned in the Castlemoyne Estate.
The car’s two front tyres had blown out and the car was being driven on rims at the time it was abandoned.
The cyclist has been brought to Beaumont Hospital where he continues to be treated for his injuries.
