Earlier: Thousands of AIB customers have been left without online access to their accounts today as the bank reported technical difficulties.
“We wish to advise that we are experiencing a technical issue that is impacting the Internet, Tablet & Mobile Banking services,” AIB stated on its website.
“Technical Support teams are investigating the issue and are working towards a resolution.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the impact that this may be having on you.”

A reply to one customer on an official AIB Twitter account said that the bank has “no time frame as of yet” for when the problem will be fixed.
