There was a full house at Limerick Races for the Club Limerick Race Day yesterday, with a charity 800m sprint by local GAA players one of the highlights of the event.
The Racing Post got into the spirit of the event, providing full commentary as the club players raced down the straight.
As far as the commentator was concerned there was only going to be one winner – with one runner lengths ahead of the competition.
But when the leader started to turn and check where his opposition was, doubt set in: “He’s not going to get caught?”
