The end is officially nigh.

Glenswilly played St. Eunan’s in a Donegal county football league game today and the match ended on a scoreline of 03-02.

Yep, three points to two. Pity the supporters who gave up a Sunday afternoon to watch a gaelic football game and saw a grand total of five points scored in the whole game.

Local journalist Alan Foley was at the game and put the scoreline down to poor aim rather than the dreaded blanket defence – between the two teams there were 27 wides in the game.

Winners Glenswilly notched all three of their points in the first half and there was only one point scored in the second half – a free for St. Eunan’s.

Football fans have not taken news of the scoreline well.

No comment yet from Joe Brolly, but we fully expect to hear from him before too long.
