Vodafone Ireland has today announced new roaming, bill pay and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) plans for customers.

Red Connect, an integrated European tariff for Vodafone bill pay customers offers unlimited calls and texts back to Ireland and within the country they are visiting without being charged extra.

Customers will also have access to all of their home data and international allowances as part of this tariff.

“Red Connect customers will be able to use their phones in Spain just as they do in Ireland without the need for changing their behaviour because they worry about costs,” said Vodafone.

Vodafone has also announced the launch Chat Extra, a pay-as-you-go offering customers unlimited cross-network calls with unlimited cross-net texts and 1GB of 4G data for €20.

Vodafone’s PAYG offers now centre on three key options; €20 Chat Extra, €20 Data Extra and €30 Extra.

All Vodafone PAYG plans now include superfast 4G at no extra cost across all top up offers.

Introducing the refreshed plans, Vodafone Ireland Consumer Director, Lutfu Kitapci said, “We understand that consumers want simple and transparent mobile phone plans so we are delighted to introduce our revised bill pay and Pay As You Go tariffs.

“We know that many customers turn off their data when abroad because they worry about bill shock.

“Red Connect is a first for the Irish market giving customers a full European plan so they can use their phones the same way at home or abroad without any worry about additional costs.

“The introduction of Chat Extra is an exciting addition to our Pay As You Go portfolio, giving our customers unlimited cross network calls, cross net texts & 1GB of 4G data for just €20.

“This is a first for Vodafone Ireland and when coupled with our 90% 4G coverage our customers can now use their smartphones to their full capabilities at great value.

“Our three new plans give customers the freedom to use their devices in ways that best suits their needs.”
