The Special Criminal Court will today hear a bail application on behalf of a man charged in connection with the murder of Denis Donaldson.
Mr Donaldson, a senior member of Sinn Féin, was shot dead in his cottage near Glenties in Co Donegal in April 2006.
It happened not long after he had been exposed as an agent for the British security service MI5 and the Real IRA later claimed responsibility.
Yesterday, Patrick Gillespie, with an address at Craigvar Street in Glasgow, was charged with withholding information from the Garda investigation.
He was remanded in custody overnight and is due to apply for bail this afternoon.
