Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny insists that there are reasons for optimism ahead of tonight’s game BATE Borisov

Dundalk have to score at least one goal tonight if they’re to progress to the final round of qualifiers for the Champions League.

The Lilywhites are set to play host to Belarusian side tonight in the second-leg of their third round qualifier, but they’re trailing by a goal to nil after the first-leg.

“People will think the game is over,” Kenny said today. “But they still conceded two goals in Finland in the second half recently recently, against SJK of Helsinki. It finished a draw.

“We can’t dismiss anything.”

Kick-off at the Tallaght Stadium tonight is at 8pm.
