Police in the North investigating a crash which left a teenage girl fighting for her life have appealed for further information.

The collision involving a red Citroen Saxo car and a 16-year-old pedestrian happened at about 9.40pm on Lake Street, Lurgan, Co Armagh, on July 29.

Officers want the drivers of five cars which were in the area at the time to come forward.

Sergeant Mel Gibson, from the Police Service of Northern Ireland, said: “I am now appealing to the drivers of the following vehicles to contact us with any information they may have.

“They are an Orange Toyota Aygo, a silver Volkswagen Golf or Polo, a dark-coloured people carrier, a silver Peugeot and a green or blue Seat Ibiza.

“If you were the driver of any of these vehicles that were travelling in the area of Lake Street at the time of the collision, I would ask to you to contact police in Lurgan on 101.”
