Three men have been arrested in Co Meath after a burglary at a shopping centre in Navan.
Gardaí got a call about the burglary shortly after 1am this morning at a shop in Blackcastle Shopping Centre, Navan.
When Gardaí arrived at the scene, they saw a car being driven by a man acting suspiciously.
Two more men jumped into the car which was then driven towards Slane.
More Garda patrol cars from Navan Garda station stopped the car on the Slane Road, and three men – aged 17, 17 and 22 – were arrested.
They are being held at Navan Garda station under the provisions of Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, as amended.
Afterwards, officers found that the shop’s shutter and front window were damaged and a small sum of cash and clothing was taken.
No staff were in the shop at the time of the incident.
