Gardaí have arrested a third person in connection with the armed raid of a post office in Kerry.

The 29-year-old woman was arrested in Killarney at around 5.30pm yesterday evening.

Armed gardaí fired shots in pursuit of three people after the raid in Waterville on Wednesday.

Two men were arrested soon after and are still being held, bringing the total number in custody to three.
