A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in Newtownards.

The 50-year-old died when the bike he was riding hit a roundabout in Comber Road at about 11.40pm last night.

PSNI Inspector Claire McBride said: “It is not thought that any other vehicles were involved in the collision.”

She appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Comber Road was closed for a period overnight but reopened to traffic at around 4am.
