The 97th annual Liffey Swim is taking place in Dublin today.
More than 400 swimmers will take on the two kilometre course this afternoon.
The men’s race starts at 1.30pm this afternoon, while the women’s race begins at 2.30pm.
One of the organisers Eoin Gaffney, explained what spectators can expect.
“It will start at WATLAND Street Bridge, beside Guinness Brewery, and the swimmers will make their way, 2.2km downriver, to the Customs House Quay,” he said.
“We expect over 430 swimmers to take part from Dublin, outside of Dublin and overseas.”
