
Irish rower Sanita Puspure has today qualified for the quarter-finals of the Women’s Single Sculls competition at the Rio Olympics this afternoon.

The Old Collegians rower, in Lane 5, endured choppy conditions in Heat 3 today, but comfortably finished in second place with a time of 9 minutes 11.45 seconds to secure her passage to the next round, which will take place on Tuesday.
