It is day two of the Rio Olympics and Team Ireland are once again involved in a number of events throughout the day.
Gymnast Ellis O’Reilly has already been in action, scoring an 11.666 on the floor to get her campaign off to a solid start, before scoring a 13.266 on the vault and following that up with a 12.3 on the uneven bars.
In the Dressage, Jonty Evans notched a score of 41.2 to keep Ireland in contention for medals in the Eventing.
In Boxing, welterweight Steven Donnelly and lightweight David Oliver Joyce will begin their campaigns at the preliminary stage of their respective weight divisions.
Elsewhere, Shane Ryan and Fiona Doyle will both be hoping to qualify from their heats in their swimming events.
Team Ireland’s scull doubles will have to wait until tomorrow to take to the water as all rowing has been suspended for the day due to windy weather conditions.
