Online Medical Card Applications are on-hold, while the HSE deals with a technical issue on its website.

The Health Service Executive has said it is dealing with the problem as a matter of urgency and hopes to resolve services as soon as possible.

Since last Wednesday, people cannot apply online or ‘track’ existing online medical card applications.

Applications for non-emergency medical cards and GP visit cards will resume once the system is restored, however there could be a backlog.
