
Padraig McCarthy and his horse Simon Porloe suffered a heavy fall today in Rio.
McCarthy and his mount were the first of the four-person equestrian team to take part in the cross country event, but were eliminated after this nasty-looking tumble.

Clare Abbott will be the next Irish rider to take-on the course, with her ride due to begin in next few minutes.
