Four medieval skeletons have been found in Kilkenny.
The remains dating to between 1250 and 1350 AD were uncovered during excavations at St Mary’s Church in the last few weeks.
Works are underway to build a new museum at the site and a number of skeletal remains are being preserved in-situ.
However, these new remains have been removed and are being forensically examined.
It is hoped once the examinations and works have been completed they will be returned to take centre stage at the new museum.
