The leadership of the National Bus and Rail Union meets today to consider what form of industrial action they will take at Dublin Bus.
NBRU bus drivers have voted 96% in favour of strike action.
Members of four other unions at the company are expected to join them.
They are looking for the same pay levels as Luas staff.
NBRU General Secretary Dermot O’Leary said they will be considering a range of options.
He said: “It could be half-day stoppages, or three-hour stoppages or four-hour stoppages – the council will decide.
“There are also options around 24-hour stoppages, 48-hour stoppages and there is also an issue in relation to no-fares day and there is also the nuclear option of an all-out strike.”
