Fundraising Concert
Aishling Jones, 17, from Castlebridge, will be moving to Guildford in the UK this September to begin a 3 year diploma course in Musical Theatre at Performance Preparation Academy. She started her ballet training with Suzanne O’Leary at Wexford School of Ballet and Performing Arts when she was just five years old, continuing on to join modern, tap and singing classes there also. From there she went on to participate in shows with Wexford Pantomime Society, Oyster Lane Theatre Group and Wexford Light Opera Society, working her way up to featured and lead roles in some of their productions. She also takes vocal lessons with Chris Holland, and took part in some extra ballet classes with Karen Williams to prepare herself for her college audition.
Aishling will be holding a concert – ‘A Night of Musical Entertainment’ – to help with her tuition fees and living costs, on Friday 19th August at 8pm in the Riverbank House Hotel. MC on the night will be George Lawlor, and special guests include Emily Brazzill, Eric Hayes and local group 7th Fret. Congratulations to Blackwater Macra club members and co on recent Tag Rugby win final score 13-3 superb team work, skill and determination well done to the extended team for support on the day.

Castlebridge Show

Bridge Drama
Bridge Drama are holding two reading nights during the coming week to cast two 3 act plays for the coming year. On Tuesday, 9th August readings will be held to cast ‘An Inspector Calls,’ by JB Priestley, This play is the group’s circuit production which will be performed in the Jerome Hynes Theatre at the National Opera House in Jan/Feb 2017.
On Thursday, 11th August readings will be held for ‘Juno and the Paycock,’ by Sean O’Casey. This moving classic will be performed in Wexford Arts Centre from November 1st – 6th 2016. Both readings will be held in The Porter House, Castlebridge at 8pm.
