A 20-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Boyle in Co Roscommon.

He was a passenger in a car that left the road and struck a ditch at Ardcarn, Boyle.

The 31-year-old driver of the car and a second passenger were taken to Sligo University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
