Ireland international Richard Keogh has agreed a new deal with Football League Championship side Derby County, writes Douglas Imrie.

Keogh has been with the Rams since 2012 and has been handed the captaincy at the iPro Stadium by new manager Nigel Pearson.

The centre-back, who is celebrating his 30th birthday today, was involved in Ireland’s Euro 2016 campaign starting their group game success against Italy and the defeat to home nation France in the last-16.
