
Three men have been arrested in connection with an assault in Co Meath, which took place over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The three men in their 20s were arrested this morning in Dublin’s north inner city.
Five men and one woman were assaulted in the Frederick Street area of Ashbourne at around 3.20am on the morning of Monday, August 1.
The victims were attacked by a group of people who fled on foot, in the direction of Slane.
Three of the male victims were taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown for treatment.
The men, who were arrested this morning, are being held at Store Street and Pearse Street Garda Stations, where they can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
