Pro 10 Sports Management have broken their silence on the Olympic ticketing debacle.

The firm say they have always acted properly and fully in line with Authorised Ticket Reseller guidelines.

The statement says there has been misleading coverage here and abroad about the firm.

The official ticket re-seller for the Olympic Council of Ireland say they have always acted properly and in line with guidelines.

They say they are co-operating with Brazilian authorities.

Pro 10 say that Kevin Mallon, who was arrested last Friday on suspicion of ticket touting, was holding OCI tickets for them.

They said that those tickets were legally sold to legitimate customers at face value.

Mr Mallon was holding them for collection from those customers, as PRO10 Sports have no staff in Rio for the games.

The company said it is usual for large numbers of tickets to be held in one place for legal resale.

They say they have suffered significant loss of revenue due to the seizure of the tickets.

PRO10 say they have acted properly and legally throughout this situation which has prompted several investigations both at home and in Rio.
