A letter from Charlton Athletic to one of their fans has been circulating on social media, writes Douglas Imrie.

In the letter, the club’s duty safety officer asks the individual to ‘refrain from posting derogatory or inflammatory comments on social media websites’.

The supporter was also informed that his season ticket would be allocated to him in person on a ‘conditional’ basis, subject to signing of an ‘Agreed Behavioural Contract’ (ABC).

This ABC, “will request that you refrain from posting derogatory comments regarding the Club.”
