Cork and Derry City both missed the chance to significantly close the gap to Dundalk at the top of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.

The second and third-placed teams finished 0-0 at the Brandywell tonight.

Bohemians had late goals from Kurtis Byrne and Stephen Best to thank for a dramatic 3-2 win over Sligo Rovers at Dalymount Park.

Mark Timlin helped St Patrick’s Athletic to a 1-0 win at Longford Town.

Meanwhile Shamrock Rovers won 3-1 against Wexford Youths with goals from Gary McCabe, Brandon Miele and Sean Boyd.
