There was a cringeworthy moment live on Sky Sports yesterday.
Goalscorers Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney were interviewed after Manchester United’s win against Bournemouth.
The two discussed the match and the importance of getting three points in their Premier League opener, before attention turned to the Man of the Match award.
Sky usually ask one of the players to present the award to whichever team-mate has won it. The only problem yesterday was that neither of the lads had won.
Instead the award went to a new signing who arrived at Old Trafford with a lot less fuss than Ibrahimovic – Ivorian Eric Bailly.

56 touches
41 passes, 95% accuracy
9 times possession gained
5/5 duels won pic.twitter.com/HUm9sauIe2
The 22-year-old was named Man of the Match after a great performance at centre-back.
Ibra appeared to think the award was going to Rooney and, although they both laughed it off, it was a VERY awkward moment.
