It’s a big day for sailor Annalise Murphy and boxer Michael Conlan, both of whom can clinch medals this afternoon.

Tori Pena competes in the pole vault at about 1.45pm while in the earlyy hours of tomorrow Thomas Barr runs in the 400 metres hurdles semi-finals.

In Equestrian action Greg Broderick is in the Jumping individual second qualifier at about 2pm.
Diving
After a strong performance yesterday, Oliver Dingley is in the 3 metre springboard diving semi-final at 2pm.

Boxing
In boxing, Michael Conlan can seal a bronze medal with victory against Russia’s Vladimir Nikitin in the Bantamweight quarter-final at 3.30pm.

Sailing
After lack of wind and then too much wind meant the medal race was postponed yesterday, Annalise Murphy is due back on the water this evening at about 5pm. Should they be unable to race again today the medals will be allocated based on current standings, meaning Murphy would take the bronze.

In the men’s 49er Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern are seventh overall going into their next races while Saskia Tidey and Andrea Brewster are 12th overall in the women’s 49er’s.
