Their pre-fight theatrics have been amped up to the last but Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz are set to come face-to-face one final time before UFC 202, writes Stephen Barry.

Such has been the fallout from their “handbags” at Wednesday’s press conference, UFC President Dana White has guaranteed “massive fines” and maybe even suspensions or community service for the duo.

Our correspondent in Las Vegas wrote after the fracas that “a fight that was struggling to live up to the hype of its first instalment has now got all kinds of grist for the hype mill”.

In the meantime, here’s how McGregor furiously reacted behind the scenes to Diaz’s walk-out and White calling off the media event.

And you can see he was still angry when asked about it at the open workout, later in the video.

Here’s hoping McGregor shows up on time and Diaz hangs around until the end tonight!
