The Tipperary footballers will, as expected, line-out unchanged for their first All-Ireland semi-final in 81 years, writes Stephen Barry.

Liam Kearns has kept the faith in the same starting 15 since defeating Cork in the Munster semi-final, although there is a positional switch in attack.

Michael Quinlivan will wear the number 11 jersey and can operate as a kick-out and scoring option.

Kevin O’Halloran, Conor Sweeney and Philip Austin make up the full-forward line.

Mayo named their team earlier today for what will be a first meeting of the sides since the westerners’ four-point victory in a round four qualifier 14 years ago.

Their only other previous Championship meetings were the 1918 and 1920 All-Ireland semi-finals, both of which were won by Tipp.

The Tipperary team lines out as follows:

1. Evan Comerford – Kilsheelan-Kilcash

2. Colm O’Shaughnessy – Ardfinnan

3. Alan Campbell – Moyle Rovers

4. Ciarán Mc Donald – Aherlow

5. Bill Maher – Kilsheelan-Kilcash

6. Robbie Kiely – Carbery Rangers

7. Jimmy Feehan – Killenaule

8. Peter Acheson (Capt.) – Moyle Rovers

9. George Hannigan – Shannon Rovers

10. Josh Keane – Golden-Kilfeacle

11. Michael Quinlivan – Clonmel Commercials

12. Brian Fox – Éire Óg Annacarty

13. Kevin O’Halloran – Portroe

14. Conor Sweeney – Ballyporeen

15. Philip Austin – Borrisokane
