Dublin City Council is bringing a little bit of Rio to the capital today.

An Olympic Fun Fest will take place at Smithfield Square from 12 noon until 5pm.

Event organiser Kathryn Byrne said that there’s plenty of free entertainment in store for visitors.

“We have Samba dancing, we’ve Samba workshops for adults and for the kids,

“We also have lots and lots of children’s games, a lot of inflatable games, a kiddie’s fun decathlon where you can toss the beanbag, do some hula hooping, balance buddy hopscotch, we’ve face-painting and a barbeque.”
