Three people have been arrested following the seizure of drugs worth €210,000 in County Louth.
It is part of an operation targeting Cross Border criminal activity involving An Garda Siochána and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
Officers from the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau intercepted two UK registered vehicles on the M1 motorway just south of the border in Louth at 3.15pm yesterday afternoon.
Heroin with an estimated street value of €210,000 was seized and three people, two men aged 41 and 24 and a 30-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of Drug Trafficking.
All three were detained for questioning under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act at Dundalk and Drogheda Garda Stations.
The three are scheduled to appear in court before a Special Court sitting of Drogheda District Court tomorrow morning charged in connection with the seizure.
Follow up searches were conducted on both sides of the border following the joint investigation.
