Despite winning the UFC202 main event, Conor McGregor arrived at his post-fight press conference on crutches.
It was a reflection of the brutal war of attrition between himself and Nate Diaz that even the victor was visibly injured afterwards.

Initially it was suggested that McGregor had broken his foot during the fight.

But the Dubliner confirmed to the media that the only injury was to his shin, battered by repeated kicks out at his opponent.
McGregor: I kicked his knee about 40 times. My shin is killing me. That's it. It's the shin. Other than that, I'm perfect.

According to McGregor it was his shin that he injured and not his foot. He was seen backstage on crutches after the fight. #UFC202
