A carnival each day in the Sports Complex Grounds, music in the evenings in the marquee with full bar facilities, and a BBQ each day, that is all happening in Craanford this weekend as the community welcomes the ‘Ford Fest’, a fundraiser in aid of the underpass which opened in the village a few weeks ago.
The Ford Fest Parade will be led by Gorey Pipe Band followed by competitors in the Craanford Rose competition, five-a-side soccer and music from 9 pm onwards in the marquee with Mary Farrell is Friday evening’s menu.
On Saturday, Ferns Comhaltas will perform in the marquee from 6 pm to 8 pm and from 8 pm to 10 pm there is a set dancing ceilidh with the Bass family and friends in Craanford Community Centre.
On Sunday, Willy O’Hara Tractor Dismantling Display takes place in the Sports Complex Grounds, there is tug o’war in the Priest’s Field followed by a relay race around the GAA field.
Plenty of music on Sunday too! Elvis (Cathal Byrne) is in the marquee from 6 pm to 8 pm and from 8 pm to 11 pm it’s the Heartbeats Band.
