After another week of European action, Dundalk returned to League duty tonight with a battling win over Wexford Youths.

David McMillan’s first-half strike was enough to give the Lilywhites a 1-0 win at Ferrycarrig Park, which has seen them open-up a four-point lead at the top of the table.

Cork City are back up to second-place.

After Alan Bennett’s opener, two goals each from Sean Maguire and Karl Sheppard helped the Leesiders to a 5-2 win over Longford Town at Turners Cross.
