Ruby Walsh is to make a quick return to action at Cork on Sunday after escaping serious injury in a fall at Bellewstown on Thursday.

The top Irish jump jockey has been declared to ride Bamako Moriviere for his boss Willie Mullins in the Online Ticket Sales At corkracecourse.ie hurdle.

Walsh was described as being “stiff and sore” and was stood down for the evening after his crashing tumble from Muthaza when leading at the fourth flight.

He also sat out his booked rides at Down Royal on this evening.

“Ruby’s riding on Sunday. He was declared this morning to ride Bamako Moriviere for Willie,” said his agent and sister, Jennifer Walsh.
