Pokemon Go is being accused of disrespecting Ireland’s fallen members of the defence forces.
Permanent Defence Forces Other Ranks Representative Association (PDFORRA) is calling on the makers of the game to remove the National Memorial for soldiers and military personnel from the app.
The game requires players to travel to real world locations in order to collect virtual monsters.
It is understood players have been descending on the monument at Dublin’s Merrion Square to play the game.
The memorial was designed as a place of reflection and PDFORRA says its inclusion in the game is highly disrespectful.
