There are 277 people waiting for a hospital bed today, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation claims 221 people are on trolley’s while a further 56 are in overflow areas of wards.

The INMO report that University Hospital Limerick has the highest number of people waiting on trolleys and in wards today, standing at 35.

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda is next with 27, while South Tipperary General Hospital has 23 patients waiting.
