Chelsea’s United States defender Matt Miazga has joined Vitesse Arnhem on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old joined Chelsea in January from New York Red Bulls and made two appearances last term.

His departure took the number of Chelsea players out on loan to 38.

West Brom have announced the signing of Wales striker Hal Robson-Kanu on a two-year contract.

The transfer window has shut but there are still deals to be completed.

Here are some of the big deals confirmed in the last ten minutes alone:

Everton’s transfer window ended disappointingly as a loan deal for West Ham striker Enner Valencia was completed just before the deadline but they missed out on Moussa Sissoko.

With just a few hours to go before the close of the window the Toffees believed they were in pole position to secure the Newcastle midfielder having met his £30million asking price – something Tottenham were apparently unwilling to do.

However, despite striking a deal with the club Everton failed to agree personal terms and it is understood they had difficulty getting the 27-year-old and his representatives to the negotiating table.

Just minutes before the window closed Hull signed Dynamo Kiev striker Dieumerci Mbokani on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal.

The 30-year-old former Democratic Republic of Congo international scored seven times in 29 Premier League appearances on loan for Norwich last season.

Liverpool’s final piece of business in the transfer window has been to send Lazar Markovic to Sporting Lisbon.

The winger has not featured in a matchday squad for manager Jurgen Klopp, having returned from a loan spell with Fenerbahce last season.

Klopp had told defender Mamadou Sakho to go out on loan to prove his professionalism after the manager became concerned about his attitude and instances of poor timekeeping which resulted in him being sent home from their pre-season tour of the United States.

The Reds boss does not want to sell the 26-year-old at the moment as he still rates him as a player – but wanted the defender to spend some time at another club but the France defender turned down loans to Stoke and West Brom.

Fulham have signed Brazilian midfielder Lucas Piazon on loan from Chelsea until January 15, 2017.

The Cottagers announced the 22-year-old’s arrival from their west London neighbours on Wednesday evening.

“Fulham Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Lucas Piazon on loan from Chelsea until January 2017,” a story on Fulham’s official website read.

Piazon joined Chelsea in 2011 and has had loan spells at Malaga, Vitesse Arnhem, Eintracht Frankfurt and Reading. He made 27 appearances and scored five goals, including one at Craven Cottage, for the Royals last season.

Jay Rodriguez will stay at Southampton despite hoping the Saints would grant him a deadline day move.

The striker was keen on a loan switch which would allow him to play regular games after an injury-hit two years at St Mary’s.

West Brom wanted to take him on loan while Sunderland, Hull and Watford were also in the race for his signature.

Manchester City defender Jason Denayer has joined Sunderland on a season-long loan, City have announced.

Norwich forward Kyle Lafferty is set to be handed a Norfolk lifeline after Cardiff, Reading and Palermo all failed with late moves.

The Royals were trying to thrash out a deadline day deal for the Northern Ireland international while Cardiff also tried, Press Association Sport understands.

Palermo were also keen to bring the forward back to the club, after selling him to Norwich in 2014, but Norwich’s struggles to sign a new striker means Lafferty is likely to stay at Carrow Road as they have no replacement.

Lafferty had not been part of Norwich boss Alex Neil’s long-term plans despite scoring in last week’s 6-1 EFL Cup win over Coventry and coming on as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s 3-0 Sky Bet Championship defeat at Birmingham.

But with the Canaries only signing Nelson Oliveira from Benfica to boost their forward line, Lafferty is now needed at Carrow Road.

Preston have signed Everton winger Aiden McGeady on loan from the remainder of the season.

The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland midfielder has been out of favour at Goodison Park since the turn of the year when he joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan.

McGeady was granted leave from international duty to complete the deal, although the player remained in Dublin.

“I didn’t want the risk of it not happening by going to the game,” he told pne.com.

Hull have completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder James Weir.

Weir, who captained United’s Under-21s side last season, has agreed a three-year deal.

The 23-year-old joined United’s academy in 2008 and made his senior debut as a substitute in a 3-2 win against Arsenal last season.

Jack Wilshere has joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan from Arsenal, both clubs have announced.

Leicester have announced the signing of Algeria striker Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon.

Besiktas have signed Leicester midfielder Gokhan Inler in a £3million-plus three-year deal.

The 32-year-old played just 13 matches in the Foxes’ Premier League-winning season having arrived from Napoli for £5million last summer.

A statement on Besiktas’ website said Inler’s contract is for an initial two years with the option of a third if he plays in 23 matches in his second season.

    West Brom have completed the signing of Watford defender Allan Nyom with Wales forward Hal Robson-Kanu set for a medical.

    Nyom, who made 32 Premier League appearances for Watford last season, has signed a four-year contract after a £3million move.

    The Baggies are pushing ahead with a deal for Robson Kanu after the 27-year-old was granted permission to leave the Wales squad.

    He is a free agent after leaving Reading in the summer and is not governed by the window so there is no time pressure on Albion to get the deal done on Wednesday.

    Cardiff are set to sign well-travelled striker Rickie Lambert on loan from West Brom, it is understood.

    The 34-year-old has made just one start – in the EFL Cup defeat at Northampton – since January 30 and is no longer part of Tony Pulis’ plans.

    Since leaving Southampton for boyhood club Liverpool two years ago Lambert has endured a difficult time, scoring just four times in 64 matches and has netting just once, 10 months ago, since January 2015.

    Tottenham have made their second signing of the day as they announced the capture of goalkeeper Pau Lopez on a season-long loan from Espanyol.

    Meanwhile, Clinton Njie has left White Hart Lane to join Marseille on loan until the end of the season.

    Liverpool are awaiting the final paperwork on Mario Balotelli’s transfer to Nice before they can draw a line under the Italian’s miserable spell at Anfield.

    The 26-year-old has been in talks with the French club for the last couple of days and Press Association Sport understands the deal has been completed and all that is left is for the Merseysiders to receive the formal documentation.

    Nice have got the Italy international, who scored just four goals in 28 appearances, for free but the Reds did not have to pay off Balotelli, which was a distinct possibility for a time as numerous European clubs turned down the chance to sign the striker.

    Philippe Senderos has set his sights on a Celtic Park debut after signing for Rangers.

    The Swiss centre-back has signed a one-year deal after impressing on trial and could make his first competitive start against Ladbrokes Premiership leaders Celtic on September 10.

    The 31-year-old former Arsenal defender told the Rangers website: “That’s the kind of game everyone wants to play in – and hopefully I can have a good week of training and then we will see from there.

    “This is why you come to such a big club, though, to play in those kind of games. It is right up there with some of the best derbies in the world and I am expecting a lot of noise as I said before, and the whole city vibrating to this game.”

    Leeds United have signed attacking midfielder Eunan O’Kane from Bournemouth on a two-year deal.

    Wolfsburg have signed Philipp Wollscheid on loan from Stoke City with a view to a permanent move next summer.

    The 27-year-old former Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz defender fills a gap left by the sale of Dante to Nice earlier this summer.

    “Wolfsburg have been an established top-third Bundesliga team in recent years and they now want to get back into Europe, and this is a very attractive challenge for me,” Wollscheid said on the Bundesliga club’s website.

    Tottenham have announced the signing of Georges-Kevin NKoudou from Marseille.

    Everton have entered the deadline-day race to sign Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

    It is understood that the Merseyside club have opened talks with the Magpies over the 27-year-old France international after Tottenham baulked at the asking price.

    Spurs are understood to have tabled a £16million bid on Tuesday evening, way below owner Mike Ashley’s price tag of £35million which was placed on the former Toulouse man in the wake of relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season, according to Press Association Sport.

    Lazio have completed the signing of midfielder Luis Alberto from Liverpool on a permanent deal.

    Lazio did not release any details of the deal, but confirmed Alberto had signed along with a picture of the 23-year-old Spaniard completing his medical.

    The former Sevilla youngster joined Liverpool in 2013 but struggled to make an impact, with his only two starts for the club coming in cup competitions as he was limited to nine substitute appearances in the Premier League.

    He spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Malaga, where he also struggled for playing time, before a more successful spell with Deportivo La Coruna last season, where he scored six goals in 29 LaLiga appearances.

    Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala has joined Valencia on a season-long loan, the Premier League club have announced.

    Chelsea have signed Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina, the Serie A club have announced. Not to annoy you Liverpool fans, but he does regularly play at left back.

    Alonso’s arrival gives Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte options at the back, with the possibility of Cesar Azpilicueta switching to right-back and Branislav Ivanovic playing in the centre of defence.

    Jeff Hendrick will be playing in the Premier League this season after completing his move to Burnley for an undisclosed fee.

    Update: 4.10pm Werder Bremen have completed the signing of Serge Gnabry from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee.

    The 21-year-old passed his medical on Wednesday morning after being released by Germany’s under-21s to agree personal terms with the northern Germany club.

    “I’m looking forward to my time in Bremen,” Gnabry said on the Bundesliga club’s website.

    “It was important for me to come to a club who could give me the chance of getting some match practice.

    Update: 4pm Sunderland have broken their transfer record to sign Didier Ndong from Lorient.

    The midfielder joins the Black Cats on a five-year deal for 16million euros – £13.6million.

    The 22-year-old arrives on Wearside having made 46 appearances for Ligue 1 Lorient since joining them in January 2015.

    Sunderland’s previous record transfer was the £13m they paid for Asamoah Gyan six years ago.

    Ndong said: “I am very proud and happy to sign for Sunderland. This is a new adventure for me and to play in the Premier League is a dream come true.

    “Maybe the Sunderland fans don’t know me yet, but I promise that they will quickly discover that I will give everything for them and the club. It will be an honour to wear the Sunderland shirt and I will wear it with a true understanding of what it means.

    “I am excited to meet everyone at the club, to see the stadium and of course the fans, who I have heard so many good things about. Today is the most beautiful day of my life.”

    A central midfielder the Gabon international previously played for Tunisian side CS Sfaxien, where he made 40 appearances, before signing for Lorient.

    He has also has 18 caps for his country after making his debut for the national team in 2012.

    Sunderland have also been linked with Norwich pair John Ruddy and Steven Naismith, with boss David Moyes managing both players at Everton.

    Update: 3.55pm Jack Wilshere is considering offers from Crystal Palace and Bournemouth ahead of a potential season-long loan.

    The Arsenal midfielder, 24, has mutually agreed with his club that after several frustrating seasons it would strengthen his career to play regular first-team football.

    He has attracted intense interest since awareness of his availability has spread. There have been enquiries from elsewhere on the continent, but it is fellow Premier League teams Palace and Bournemouth who most appeal.

    Arsenal do not expect to recruit any further players before Wednesday’s transfer deadline, having on Tuesday finally confirmed the signings of Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez.

    Calum Chambers also joined Middlesbrough on loan until the end of the season, and the London club are expecting Serge Gnabry to permanently join Werder Bremen.

    As with Wilshere, winger Gnabry plays in a position in which Arsenal have considerable strength in depth, and the Bundesliga club’s director of football Frank Baumann on Tuesday spoke of his confidence he would arrive.

    Any developments surrounding Wilshere, however, will be the highest profile. The midfielder was excluded from new manager Sam Allardyce’s first England squad after making only two substitute appearances so far this season and barely featuring last season.

    Update 3.20pmSunderland’s pursuit of Didier Ndong in a reported club-record deal remains ongoing.

    Claims in France suggested a deal had been stuck with Lorient for the Gabon midfielder but there has been no confirmation from either club.

    French sports daily newspaper L’Equipe have said the deal is worth €20m.

    Sunderland have also been linked with Norwich pair John Ruddy and Steven Naismith, with boss David Moyes managing both players at Everton.

    Sunderland’s previous record transfer is £13m which they paid for Asamoah Gyan six years ago.

    Update 2.16pm Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has joined Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season, the Premier League club have announced.

    England goalkeeper Joe Hart’s loan to Torino was the headline move early on a potentially busy transfer deadline day.

    Both Manchester City and the Serie A outfit announced the 29-year-old had completed a season-long switch to Turin.

    Hart’s fellow England international Jack Wilshere also looked like leaving Arsenal on loan, while Premier League spending, having passed the £1billion mark for the first time in a summer transfer window, seemed set to continue.

    Morning reports suggested Chelsea had made an extraordinary bid to re-sign defender David Luiz, sold to Paris St Germain for £50m in 2014, while Leicester agreed a club record fee for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani.

    Stoke were looking to bring in new faces with deals for Wilfried Bony and Bruno Martins Indi being worked on, while Tottenham were pursuing Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

    Confirmation of Hart’s move was expected after he was given permission to leave the England training base on Tuesday to travel to Italy.

    Hart had slipped to third choice at City following the recent signing of Claudio Bravo and was hoping the move would ensure regular action.

    “I am very excited to test myself in as important and beautiful league as Serie A,” Hart said.

    Midfielder Wilshere, who has been given permission to go out on loan for the season by the Gunners after two injury-hit campaigns, was thought to be considering offers from Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. Roma were also reported to have made a late bid for the 24-year-old.

    Any last-day spending by Premier League clubs would top up what has already been a remarkable summer window, the first of the competition’s latest £5bn TV deal.

    Figures published by Deloitte’s Sports Business Group at the start of the day showed that top-flight club’s gross spending in the window stood at £1.005bn. At the same stage last year the figure was £780million.

    Porto defender Martins Indi was reportedly at Stoke to discuss a potential move.

    Bony was one of a number of potential outgoings from City, who have spent around £170m this summer but now focusing on trimming their squad.

    It is understood playmaker Samir Nasri was in discussions with Sevilla while defender Eliaquim Mangala, a £42m signing from Porto two years ago, travelled to Valencia.

    Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko was given permission to leave the France training camp to complete a transfer, but the Magpies, who value the player at £30million, rejected a bid of around £16million from Spurs.

    Gokhan Inler left Leicester for Beskitas, agreeing a three-year deal, while Werder Bremen were closing in on Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry.

    Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has joined Italian side Torino on a season long loan, the clubs have announced.

    The 29-year-old made the switch after leaving the England training camp on Tuesday to finalise terms and undergo a medical.

    The move is expected to ensure regular action for Hart after he slipped down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium following the signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona last week.

    Elsewhere, Leicester are believed to have agreed a club-record fee to sign Sporting striker Islam Slimani.

    The forward is undergoing a medical and is set to join the Foxes after expressing his desire to move to the King Power Stadium.

    Sporting had been asking for €40m for Slimani.

    In terms of speculation, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere looks set to choose Crystal Palace for a season-long loan move.

    Other reports suggest Chelsea have made a sensational late move to re-sign David Luiz from Paris St Germain in a £32million deal.

    Liverpool, meanwhile, are looking for someone to take Mario Balotelli off their hands.
