Gardaí have seized seven stolen cars as part of a crackdown on organised crime in the east of the country.

Operation Thor has been targeting a gang stealing cars from outside people’s homes in Dublin.

Searches in Wexford, Wicklow, Dublin and Meath yesterday all resulted in stolen goods being found.

Among the haul was also €80,000 worth of cannabis.

One man in his 50’s has been arrested.
